This is relevant for all though sent first to my astrology students:
I am writing this based on my understanding to bring some reflection and food for thought for some Perspective – keeping Vedic astrology as the context.
Navigating Life’s GPS: Astrology’s Hidden Message About Human Equality
Five key takeaways from this article:
- Like a GPS system, astrology maps life’s topography – some paths smooth, others challenging, yet requiring equal mindfulness
- Whether in a BMW or rickshaw, human capacities for love, learning, and understanding remain fundamentally identical
- Life’s universal experiences like aging and loss create a level playing field regardless of birth circumstances
- Material advantages shown in astrology don’t guarantee success – personal effort and awareness shape our journey
- Greater blessings bring increased responsibility – ego can derail anyone regardless of astrological fortune
I want to highlight on why no one is better placed than any other in life even when astrology lessons we learn, mention words like ‘fortunate born’, ‘becomes wealthy’, ‘being away from mother’, ‘long life’, ‘disease prone’, ‘obsession’. Such words naturally make us think that some are luckier than others.
Astrology is like a GPS system giving the topography of our life. At some places, the roads are wide, no traffic, and the weather is ideal while at others, the roads are blocked and the weather is worst. Astrology also indicates the things we are already endowed with in terms of qualities for e.g. body, speech, thinking patterns etc. This means one may be possessing a BMW car, born in a palace while another may be having a cycle rickshaw, born in a slum. Despite all these differences, the journey remains the same for all. Here is why.
Whether you are in a BMW car or a cycle rickshaw, the alertness needed when you drive your vehicle remains the same. Likewise whether we live in a palace or a slum, the capacity to love, capacity to understand, capacity to learn something new, capacity to experience human values remains identical. Whether one is big-brained or average brained, the need and joy of a challenge remains the same. Whether one is healthy or ill, the need and responsibilities to give and get love remains the same. Also, some portions of the topography of life do not change for anyone like aging, going through the loss of a loved one etc.
All indicators of problems (in terms of malefic) and of blessings (in terms of benefic) are about the material / physical manifestation of these as the topography (for each person’s life). The effort, alertness, awareness of one’s capacities/limits, learning and navigation is what decides our experience through this topography.
Similar parallel can be drawn from the lessons from karma theory as per my understanding. When things just click for us, the need to remain focused increases and the need to give due consideration for others also increases. When our capacities are more, our responsibilities also increase correspondingly. At any point if ego and other vices come in we are doomed to experience the bad regardless of being blessed as per astrology or by karmic credit.
Hope this brings some good thoughts to discuss further.
