EXPLANATION

Just like a mirror reflects exactly what stands before it, every breath whispers an eternal truth – “I am That, That I am.” When you breathe in (“Ham”), you acknowledge your individual self, and when you breathe out (“So’ham”), you recognize your oneness with the Divine. This continuous rhythm, according to Advaita Vedanta, is like nature’s own meditation happening within every living being.

Think of it like water taking different forms – as waves, bubbles, or foam – yet remaining essentially water. Similarly, the truth taught by Adi Shankaracharya is profound yet simple: our individual self and the universal consciousness are not two separate entities, but one unified reality, revealed in every breath we take.
