The concept of divine causality in ancient Indian philosophies transcends mere academic theory. Rather than simply explaining the universe, these teachings offer practical principles through which conscious beings can interact with the fundamental forces of reality. These ancient sciences are considered “living” precisely because they recognize the divine forces that compose both the universe and ourselves, positioning us not as passive observers of our predestined journeys, but as active participants in the unfolding of reality.
The karmic design of our life’s journey is undeniably real—a fact I’ve confirmed through extensive astrological analysis. This design manifests as divine logic embedded into our birth circumstances, operating through an unalterable mechanism. Our life events correlate remarkably with planetary positions, movements, and cycles. For simplicity, we might think of this divine karmic logic as a “karmic wave” with a vibration frequency that changes according to precise cosmic interactions—planets engaging with zodiacs, nakshatras, other planets, and the cyclical changes resulting from Earth’s tilt and elliptical orbit. This karmic wave represents the divine forces in their “default state” for each individual, unfolding as what we commonly call destiny—a pattern that cannot be fundamentally altered.
Yet alongside this individualized “Karmic DNA,” we each possess the universal “Prakriti DNA”—an encrypted divine gift enabling those who earnestly seek it to access transformative powers through self-realization. When properly activated, this aspect of our nature allows us to generate new “Prakriti waves” that interact with our default “Karmic wave,” potentially creating experiences far more beautiful than what our karmic journey alone might offer. This explains why many willingly renounce conventional luxuries to live as ascetics and hermits—the bliss generated through Prakriti waves surpasses any pleasure material existence can provide.
The interaction between these waves can be understood through basic principles of physics. Just as waves meeting 180 degrees out of phase can neutralize each other, a consciously generated Prakriti wave can counteract a karmic wave. These Prakriti waves—generated through mantra chanting, meditation, yoga, and similar practices—emerge when one surrenders to the divine as the universal cause, recognizing that divinity resides within each of us. While the karmic design’s existence cannot be erased, its manifestation can be altered through interaction with these divinely charged waves.
When generated with purity of heart, Prakriti waves enable manifestation without desire, as the ego dissolves in the process of divine surrender. This approach succeeds unfailingly because the divine’s inherent nature is to protect, create positivity, and eliminate negativity. By focusing on the fundamental cause of the universe rather than human-created outcomes, we connect with a power that transcends the limitations of material achievement. Material gains and successes often arrive bundled with new fears and responsibilities, which can become burdens. This explains the tradition of invoking divine blessings before undertaking new endeavors—whether through mantras like “Om gam ganapataye namah” or through ceremonies performed when establishing homes, launching products, or beginning initiatives.
In essence, while divine forces have encoded our life journey in our karmic birth pattern, the same divinity has provided us with the key to transcend these constraints by reconnecting with the divine as the ultimate remedy for all suffering. This is the divine play—the Lila of God—that we can experience by aligning ourselves with the cosmic rhythm as conscious human beings.
