Planets’ nature continuously transforms as they journey through zodiacs, nakshatras, and houses, further modified by their relative positions to other celestial bodies. When we focus exclusively on planets from this perspective, we become fixated on the ever-changing aspects of life. This approach inevitably leads to a wild goose chase, turning existence into a roller coaster ride where experiences become defined through specific, transient conditions.

Anything conditional will always be limiting. Following this path, we remain dependent on our likes and dislikes, oscillating between happiness and sadness—perpetually guided by the primal instincts of seeking pleasure and avoiding pain.

The transformative shift occurs when we redirect our attention to the eternal, unchanging aspects of cosmic wisdom, such as the fundamental nature of nakshatras and the pure cosmic forces represented by the 10 Mahavidyas. By approaching life as a continuous process of self-discovery, the journey becomes inherently liberating. It ceases to be a roller coaster ride and transforms into a perpetually ascending, supersonic flight toward higher consciousness.

It’s crucial to understand that Vedic astrology, like science, is a body of knowledge built upon observation-based principles and laws. Just as scientific laws don’t fully explain the universe’s nature but merely describe what happens under specific conditions, astrological principles function similarly. Scientific laws are defined as such by science itself, and what attempts to explain the universe’s nature is theory.

The same holds true for Vedic astrology. What illuminates the nature of the universe and life itself isn’t found in the predictive mechanics of planetary positions but in the broader philosophical framework provided by the Vedas. In fact, the profound philosophy underlying Vedic astrology embraces as its ultimate aim the transformation of our perspective—shifting our focus from the ephemeral, changing aspects of existence to the eternal truths that constitute the authentic spiritual path.

By understanding this distinction, we free ourselves from the misconception that astrology merely explains life’s events. Instead, we recognize it as a sophisticated system designed to guide us beyond the conditional nature of experience toward the unchanging reality that transcends all planetary movements and worldly circumstances.
